Norooz Outreach and Diaspora Arts Connection proudly present the inaugural all-day “Norooz Spring Festival,” celebrating the arrival of Spring on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Share the Norooz spirit by bringing your non-Persian friends and join us for a day of celebrations and festivities, including food, live-music, dance, Persian calligraphy and miniatures, activities for children, and other demonstrations of the symbols of Norooz.
This event is free and open to public and will be held come rain, come shine!
Off-Stage Programs: 10AM-6PM
Foods available for sale: Persian pastries, Persian ice cream, faloodeh (cold Persian rice noodle dessert), tea, kabob, and cold Persian Sandwiches.

Our cultural/activity stations will feature a Norooz spread by Sara Pisheh Design, Persian calligraphy by Arash Shirinbab, Persian miniature by Fatemeh's Persian Art, cooking demonstration by Chef Hanif of Komaaj, egg coloring station by Mahsa Shoghi, balloon artistry and face painting, Norooz music by Amir Abbas Etemadzadeh and friends, and photo booth. Our stage performances will include Nava Dance Collective, Niosha Dance Academy, and Beshkan Dance Academy, Amir Abbas Etemadzadeh and Abbos Kosimov.
Food vendors participating in the event are Golnazar Gourmet Ice cream, Orchid Persian Catering, and MehrBanoo Catering.
