DAC proudly presents "Born in 1361," directed and played by Asiyeh Ziai, based on a play written by Naghmeh Samini. Playwright Naghmeh Samini will be in attendance for a Q&A session following the performances. There will be two shows on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 5:00 and 8:00 pm.

This play is entirely in Persian language.



About the Artists

Asiyeh Ziai: Los Angeles-based actress and director Asiyeh Ziaei was born in Iran. She graduated in drama and acting from Tehran's prestigious Art University. She has worked as a TV and stage actress and has received awards and praise for her acting in several plays.

Naghmeh Samini: Award-winning playwright Naghmeh Samini was born in Iran. She received her BA in Drama and MA in Cinema both from the University of Tehran, and holds a PhD in Drama and mythology. More than twenty plays of hers have been staged in Iran, and other countries and her screenplays have been performed in films and TV series such as "Shahrzad" in Iran.
